Budget 2022 is a Visionary Budget with the tag line Go Green. It talks about the Green Growth, Green Infra and Green Jobs. For the infra push , infra bonds will be issued by the government as well.
Key Highlights of the budget are:-
1)Farmers and Technology:-
a)Moving forward with its slogan of Jai Jawan , Jai Kisan and Jai Vigyan. The government budget clearly read out its outreach to farmers. The MSP purchase done was over 2lakh crs and .68 direct transfer benefit would reach 11crs farmers.
b)Zero Budget Fertilizer will not only be cost effective but futuristically lead to preservation of soil richness.
c)Farmers equipped with drone technology can use it for procurement and get beyond physical marketing through digital marketing.
d)What stands out is the Organic corridor near riverbeds, that would lead to not only fertile farming but preserving the river side-lines.
2)Defence, Bordering states and MSME:-
a)The allocation for defence is Rs 5.25 lakh crs and is 9.85 higher than last times budget. The, push is towards indigenous production and backing the slogan of AtmaNirbhar Bharat. The central government has an objective of 68% capital procurement for UP and TN corridors.
b) Vibrant Village scheme is ode to the people in bordering states who give their all for nationalism.
c)MSME guarantee for loans taken up by the government shows through MSME promotional Emergency Credit Guarantee Scheme provided 1.5cr job security.
3)Sports, Start-ups, Sloar and PLIs with Gati Shakti:-
a)The budget push given in last 7 years is 3 times from that of previous regimes. With greater budget allocation and outreach to t2 and t3 cities as well.
b)Start-ups tax benefit advantage is further given, encouraging R&D for youth to innovate. Agri tax benefits would further create jobs.
c)20,000 crs Thermal power plants led to Bio emission Reduction which facilitates the farmer and animal husbandry cause. Prior to 2014, 90,000 km highway while in last 7 years infrastructural boost is 50,000 km highways. Gati Shakti plan would further facilitate the entire process for infra and real estate.
d)Moving towards solar electricity and solar farms is a big thumbs up not only for farmers and cost reduction, but for the environment as well.
4)Citizens and Digitization:
a)Digital universities will make education budget friendly and time saving for the needy.
b)Digital currency monitored by RBI will be a futuristic step in pro digitalization while still letting the physical system be in parlance.
Overall, the government has kept it simple and focus on the key pillars of society while creating scope for job creation, infra development and digitisation while sticking to the slogan Vocal for Local.
